Baby Shower

This past weekend was my baby shower---sooo much fun!!! We got so many wonderful gifts from friends that are so wonderful!! Here are some pictures from the shower for those that couldnt make it. :( By the way---I look heavy in these pictures and am not happy about it so dont comment on it ok? :) Thanks so much!! I will try to get some more on here---it was a great day and we still have yet to put everything away....

Who wears the pants in the family? Well- right now I wear his because mine dont fit...sigh.

8 weeks and counting...

So, we have 8 weeks left...I am fairly certain he will be late. I am measuring just right-31cm for 31 weeks...not bad for "looking bloated, not pregnant." I have also gained 9 more lbs. since my last dr. appt.---wooo hooo! I have now gained 20 lbs. total (10 if youre my doctor). Isnt it amazing what happens when you KEEP the food down!! Miracles!
As for the baby being late--I have mixed feelings- I want him to be late because the later he is, the less time I have to come back to work---however- the later he is, the bigger he is...I dont want to give birth to an 11 pounder (Jeremys brother was that much--also 3 weeks late-ahhhh!).
I have birthing classes this weekend and every Tuesday night in March- hopefully I can learn some impressive techniques that will keep me from losing my mind. :) Oh- I also believe that the Lord let me be born in these latter days so I can benefit from the joys of modern medicine---even if those medicines have to get to my system by a really big needle...just breathe...I am all about trying to hold out as long as possible but really---why deny the anaesthetist (or anesthesiologist- I dont know the difference) his job, right?? Plus, I am pretty sure it is better for everyone involved that I am calm....:)
I am getting a lot of questions about the baby's name---we dont know yet...we have a few names we like but are kinda keeping them under wraps because we like them and dont want people telling us all about how "...my brother's in law is named that-boy is he a jerk..." etc. Everyone has an opinion about names so we figure if we dont tell anyone- no one can give us their opinion...but after the baby is born and a name is already given--they are less likely to tell you what they really think of the name...sneaky huh? :) Hehehe. We have the middle name almost narrowed down--it will be either of our dads' middle names...we will just have to see. We also want to have a few names picked out so when the kid is born-we can see which name he "looks" like- if that really is an issue.
Well, happy reading- I will try to get some more prego pics on here since I am apparently growing more now---my belly button has NOT popped yet---Jeremy is convinced it's going to happen soon---doesnt that sound painful?? Love you all!
