I can pretend
Well, Hunter is now 7 weeks old. We can't believe it. I have had to return to work and am so grateful that I only have 8 days of actual work left. Then I get a summer "break" and am taking a leave of absence so I am going to be stay at home mom sooner than I think! I can honestly say that I never thought I would want to be one but now that it is here, I am very excited! Hunter is smiling now and is more adorable every day!!
I love it! Here are some pictures that I took of Hunter and Jeremy...not a photographer but I can pretend. It is actually one of my goals now- to be able to take professional quality photos. Thanks to my roomie Sanka! :)
I will post better pictures when I am home and can live with my camera in my hands! (Because I am sure thats what moms do all day!- hehehehe)

Happy Anniversary!
Today is our 4th anniversary! We cant believe it has already been four years but at the same time, we feel that it has been longer (in a good way). I am so blessed to be able to see my best friend every day and to be able to have a relationship where he is willing and able to take care of me and our new baby! Today being our anniversary I thought I would tell you a few of the things that my husband does that makes him the greatest man in the world!!
Jeremy is willing to learn new things, try new things, cook even after working all day (he just doesn't like my idea of cereal for dinner...) and is an amazing father- taking feedings when he has to work the next day just so I can get a break. He is so patient with my lack of domestic skills and is willing to teach me, or let me try things on my own (things go better when he teaches, instead of letting me try them on my own...). He believes in me and encourages me to try new things and build new talents! Thank you babe, I love you!
Oh also--I wanted to tell you all what he did for mother's day.....he made a three course meal of fondue! (Think like the Melting Pot!). I had wanted to go the Melting Pot for our anniversary but he kept telling me he wanted to go somewhere else...well on Sunday, he banished me from the living room area so he could get things prepared. He made a cheese fondue, oil fondue with marinated steak (my fav!) and turkey, and for dessert- a raspberry creme fondue with mangoes, peaches, and pound cake to dip! DELICIOUS!!! Thank you honey for all the hard work and effort! I love you!!!

Happy Mother's Day
This is a great day for all women out there-even if you arent a mother yet...or dont intend to become one for awhile! Today is my first Mother's Day actually being a mother! Its been a regular day so far..I am fairly certain that Jeremy has plans but dont know what they are...will keep you posted. :) Happy Mother's Day to everyone! :)

Happy Reading!
I have seen these 100 things about me on others posts and wasn't really interested but kinda am now---so settle in! :)
1. I am not a morning person-ask my roommates and husband!
2. Green is my fav. color
3. I long to be a more organized person.
4. Sometimes I go on "organizational tangents" and throw tons of stuff away-Jeremy hates this.
5. I am very opinionated about certain things.
6. I used to think I liked everybody-
7. Now I realize that I can get along with everybody. They are different
8. I can't believe I am one of those women who says labor isn't that bad---crazy talk!
10. I wish I was more patient
11. I also wish I could cook better and clean faster than my husband
12. I will audition for the Mormon Tabernacle Choir some day
13. I want to learn to play the guitar
14. I also want to learn a foreign language
15. NYC is my favorite city in the U.S.
16. I couldn't afford to live there, though. :(
17. I want to go to Greece some day
18. I like to think I have good decorating sense
19. I need money to decorate my home how I want
20. I also need a larger house for all the stuff we have already accumulated
21. I hate reading websites, newsletters, etc. with grammatical errors
22. I would love to have a job being an editor to make sure no other errors ever made their way into websites, newsletters, etc. again!
23. It drives me crazy when people put apostrophes where they don't belong, and mix up then, than, accept, except, etc...
24. But I would never tell them
25. I do complain to Jeremy about it though
26.I overuse the word "fine"
27. I am tired of all the political issues going on now-it needs to be Dec. so it will be over!
28.I think Bill Cosby is hilarious

30.I wish I wanted to exercise
31. It bothers me that I am not a good motivator for exercise

33. I want to audition for American Idol just to see what Simon would say
34. I don't watch reality TV-not even American Idol
35. I start many sentences to Jeremy with, "Our children will never..."
36. He laughs and says, "Yes they will."
37. I rephrase with, "...Ok, but they won't get away with it!"
38. I have horrible eating habits
39. I would tell my 2nd graders that a perk of being an adult is getting to have ice cream for breakfast- and I do sometimes. (It drives Jeremy nuts!)
40. I wish I was more crafty
41. Jeremy wishes I would finish the crafts that I start before starting another
42. I currently have 6 projects going-one is a quilt that I was supposed to send to the troops for an Enrichment project---2 years ago. :( It still isn't done
43. My parents are two of my favorite people
44. My in-laws are two others
45. I love to travel and wish I had more money to do so
46. Although, if I had more money- we would probably just save it
47. I am so excited to not be going to work next school year
48. We just bought an apple computer and I am so excited for it!
49. I am a leftover snob-there are very few things I will eat as leftovers
50. Jeremy's family calls them warm ups.
51. I love Caffeine free Dr. Pepper
52. I love music
53. My favorite genre is musicals
54. I have only ever been to 4 concerts
55. Five for Fighting was the most recent
56. I am afraid of needles and need someone to hold my hand while I get shots, blood draws, etc.

59. In fact, I will not finish my entire meal at a restaurant just so I have room for dessert

61. I love the smell of coffee and want to work at Starbucks for that very reason
62. I gained all 35 lbs. in the last 3 months of pregnancy- my feet hurt from the extra weight.

64. I should have changed my major at least once in college
65. Looking back now- I would have chosen vocal performance, architecture, or psychology
66. I graduated with a BS in elementary education
67. I taught in a classroom for 3 years
68. Then I became a computer tech this year
69. I wonder when parents started taking a child's word over that of the teacher (an adult)
70. I also wonder what has happened to our society on a regular basis
71. Nursery has been my favorite calling at church- they get snacks!
72. Singing is my favorite thing to do and I don't get to do it as often as I like.
73. I was an extra in the movie "All the Pretty Horses"
74. Don't look for me- my scene was cut...:(
75. My favorite class in college was geography for teachers
76. My least favorite classes were math for teachers and biology
77. I had to take Biology 3 times in college
78. By the way, I married a biologist.
79. I rarely call Jeremy by his name- I usually say honey or babe
80. It bothers me when people give me advice I didn't ask for
81. I usually listen politely even though I would rather tell them where they can put their "advice"
82. My least favorite household chore used to be cleaning the kitchen because no matter how long I spent to clean it- one meal or snack later, it's dirty again.
83. I would rather clean 5 bathrooms than one kitchen.
84. Now laundry is my least favorite-washing and drying are fine---folding doesn't seem to happen that well!
85. I love the beach.
86. I want to be a Disney character's singing voice
87. I sang the National Anthem at my HS graduation and in college at a hockey game.
88. I didn't think I would be able to do 100 things about me
89. I am tired all the time now that I am a mom.
90. I can't believe I am a mom.
91. No one told me I wouldn't get dressed before noon or that I wouldn't remember to eat after I had a baby.
92. I wanted to get a tattoo in college but didn't.

96. I am grateful for my husband who cooks dinner on most nights-even though I am home during the day currently.
