Alaska (Part 2)

While in Juneau, we took a tour of the city, saw the governor's mansion, did not get to see Sarah Palin, saw a glacier, a temperate rainforest, no wildlife, and opted to not ride a tram for $27/each. We learned a lot while there and had a great time...back to the ship for journey to our second port:
Skagway (tiny town-800 ppl-ish)
While in Skagway, we took an excursion to Haines, Alaska to ride some 4x4 mules and see amazing coutryside...(by the way...I expected to see a lot of native Alaskans on our tours as our guides...I think we had 1 or 2 who were actually from Alaska...the others were from Virginia, Utah, Seattle, either there for the summer working or moved there recently...huh.) Anyway, on the pictures.

Rained the whole day- we were SOAKED!!!!

Amazing views.....

tons of waterfalls

Mom getting ready to do some driving

After our driving in the rain, we got some yummy food and nice hot drinks to thaw us out. :) Sweet!!

Then on to the thriving metropolis of Skagway to do some shopping/sightseeing
